Checked in from home expecting at least an hour wait, but to my surprise we had an appointment in half an hour. We had to rush out the door but made it on time and got back with the nurse in less than 10 minutes. Then we were told it would be 20 minutes before the doctor came in, but again, we waited less than 10 minutes for him. Everyone was friendly and professional and we were in and out in about 30 minutes total. We were there for a school sports physical and it only cost $20. Very pleased!
I had been using Doctors Care in Aiken, Greenville, and Lexington and went 4 months ago to this location looking to get some help to figure out what sickness I had. The doctor checked me out and recommended a flu test they could do within a few minutes. I agreed and when the doctor came back he voluntarily told me the flu tests are not always very good and that mine came back negative, but I could have the flu since I didn't display symptoms of strep or bronchitis. He prescribed me a Z-pack which within 24s of taking did not help any of my symptoms and was only resolved through another provider.
I will not be using doctors care anymore after this terrible experience.
A lot of sick people chose to utilize the same facility which made the wait a little long. Can't fault them for good business. The sweet young lady at the front desk was INCREDIBLY helpful, quick, and kept my info quiet and confidential. She even printed off extra billing documents with a smile on her face. It's as if she really enjoyed her work. The nurse was kind, calm, and very patient. The doctor came in smiling and cleaned her hands. Excellent bedside manner. She made sure to give me a full explanation regarding my diagnosis and treatment without condescension. I did NOT feel as though she stayed too long or not long enough. Very pleased. To top it off, I got a call from them 2 days after my visit to see how I was feeling. I feel as though they went above and beyond for me and it was certainly appreciated.
The PA, Perez came into the room. Did not wash his hands or glove up. Then went and got a hand full of open tongue depressers, laid them in a counter and stuck one in my sons mouth with his un gloved in sanitized hand. He's spreading germs!!!!
Fast forward a few weeks later and I get a bill for 200$ for the same flu test the doctor told me was not very good in the first place. I immediately contacted UCI and doctors care and did not get any help until the manager discussed the situation and the extraordinarily high price tag for this "not very good" test. It took me the course of weeks and weeks to get this manager back on the phone to only be told that Doctors Care was unwilling to reduce the charge to what the manager and I had discussed being more reasonable (120$ roughly which is what Medicare pays). When I talked to them last I explained the entire situation again, including exactly what the doctor told me and the fact that it had taken me weeks to get some kind of answer and that I had used Doctors Care with no problems for 4-5 years and that if they could resolve this reasonably, I would be happy to go back there when I needed care. Ultimately, they refused to change anything and I paid the ridiculous bill. If you can go somewhere else, please do. Customer service and quality of care does not seem to be important to them.
AWESOME and knowledgeable staff. Office was nice and clean!
Beware of 200$ flu tests! Always ask how much a test will cost, even what would seem to be "routine" or "basic". Note: You can get flu tests at other places for far less.
