This is an extended stay hotel. Not very amenities are included. The rooms feel like crappy college dorms and the mattresses are not very comfortable. The hallways always smell like smoke. They have a faulty fire alarm system that woke everyone up at 3:30 am and would not shut off for some parts of the building until 7:00 am. Hopefully they fix this soon. The management did fully refund people's stays for the night without prompting, which redeems them a star.
Inexpensive for a reason, as other reviewers state, the room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The first room we were given had cockroaches crawling all over the refrigerator door and ants all over the stovetop. We requested another room (all other hotels in the area were booked for the eclipse). Our second room looked clean but I did see another cockroach later that night. Ugh. Then at 4am the smoke alarms rang intermittently until around 7:30am. This is a bare bones "hotel". There is no ice machine, no coffee machine in the room. There are no cooking utensils, pots, pans, or plates provided. If there hadn't been cock roaches and smoke alarms through the night, I would feel the place would deserve 3.5 stars. The staff was very friendly.
Spent 3 weeks at this hotel in room 430. The room was clean and comfortable in my opinion. However there were no pots, pans, bowls, etc or silverware in the kitchen so we had to purchase our own. Also you have to pay for a coffee pot if you want one. Housekeepers only clean every 2 weeks so if clean towels & linens are needed you have to pay a ridiculous $10 Linen Exchange fee or wash your own. Location was convenient although the entrance is hard to get to.
The room I was sleeping in an hour ago was damp, musty, it's very obvious the sheets weren't changed, and I've made friends with a few roaches.
I'm writing this sleeping in my car because the fire alarm has gone off for the third time in an hour, old timers lament this is a nightly occurrence, at least this week.
The staff is nice though so two stars.
I made a flower delivery there for a guest. The desk staff were very helpful. Great location by the interstate exit. Convenient to Lexington and Columbia.
