We were passing thru and the Jeep broke down, so we got it towed to Lorick's. The guy was very nice and said he could help us and keep our car for a week. Well, a week goes by and I didn't hear, so I called, and they said they were about to get to it. I had one day before I needed the car and they hadn't even looked at it. It was an older Jeep, a very simple design, and I felt confident it was a very minor problem like an ignition coil, spark plug wire or a sensor. After calling them three more times, he finally told me at 3 pm on Friday (I needed the car next day, they were closed) that it needed a new distributor, which seemed like more than it really needed. This part is only about $60. My bill was $320, which was high. Next day, I get in the car, it runs ok for about 15 minutes, then starts sputtering and dies. I manage to get it to O'reilly's and I replaced the ignition coil myself in the parking lot. I had told the guy this is what I thought the problem could be. Well, car fired up and made the three hour drive with no problem. I paid way too much for a repair that took way too long and did not fix the problem.
All I wanted was the truth about the condition of my vehicle. So many other places could not offer this to me. The other places only offered me partial truths that required me to keep spending more money. However, Lorick's told me the whole truth about my vehicle. They took me underneath my vehicle and pointed out the problem area so I could see for myself. It was clear that the vehicle wasn't worth fixing and they told me this as well and advised me it was time for a replacement. I replaced it and took the new one straight to Lorick's. It needed brakes and price for the repair was not insane like other places. All I wanted was honesty and that is what I received. Thanks for the great service.
While visiting Lexington from Nashville the power steering pump went out on my 2001 Chevy pickup and I went to Lorick at 8 AM on Monday morning. They were kind enough to start on it right away and had me back on the road in a few hours. Great service and I highly recommend them!
I have been a customer for years and I'm always very satisfied. Jamie and the staff are competent, friendly and trustworthy.
We were visiting family and on our way back north when our car was overheating. We turned around to head back to GA and took the first exit. Fortunately there was a gas station so we could put water in the radiator. We drove back to the interstate and missed the exit. When turning around we noticed a garage. We pulled in were informed that they were closing but would be happy to help us out. The mechanics looked at the car for 2 minutes pulled it into the garage and in less than 30 minutes we were back on the road north. If it wasn't for these kind and professional employees we would have been stuck for another day or 2. Thank you for helping us get home. May God bless you
