Russell Mitchell and staff (Billy Foster was advisor this visit) in service center are phenomenal! Very genuine and helpful, accommodating of their customers. Had a flat tire twice in 24 hours; they were quick to help and offer other solutions. BONUS: they didn't question my final decision or attempt to upsell it the way other dealerships do. It made me feel confident in my choice. You are in good hands here!
The purchase of my car was easy. The entire process took less 2 hours. About three months after having the car, a used 2014 Traverse, the front fender popped out a little. Apparently, their body shop just tacked the fender so that it would sell without replacing it. We are now at a year of ownership and every "touch up" Herndon did on the paint job is showing. The front wheel near where the fender popped out is making a loud thump when you go over bumps in the road. The transmission began slipping at around 6 months. I took it back because it is still under warranty and the mechanic said he drove it but could not get the transmission to slip. He said "these things usually get worse, so bring it back then". The worse part of all of this is they sold the car to me as a top of the line used car with the price to go along with it. I would have expected this from a "where you gonna get it" car lot, but not from an establishment with the reputation of Herdon. I reached out to the general manager, but all I heard was crickets! Buyers please beware.
I gave two stars because I’ve received excellent service before today. However, today is the exception. I made a 10 o’clock appointment earlier this week. I got here a few moments before and I’m told that I have a one hour and a half wait! The lady told me that they couldn’t put me before people who have been waiting 45 minutes. What’s the purpose of an appointment if walk ins will take preference? It doesn’t matter when they came. Where’s Lawton Connor? I’ve never been given such illogical logic from him. He’s an awesome representative.
Excellent place to buy a car. Have bought 2 cars there and both times A+. The salesmen and finance guys were terrific. Good price and professional. Highly recommend.
In May of 2017 I visited several dealerships in the area and reviewed 38 websites looking for a truck. I decided to look at a truck posted at Herndon Chevrolet. I arrived at 4:10 pm on a Saturday and drove my new F150 truck home at 6:00 pm the same day. This experience was wonderful. I knew the price of the vehicle, got great coverage for the warranty and great payments at a price that I could afford. I had no problems and the truck was available as posted on the website. The sales department and financial department were exceptional. There were no hidden cost and they were very supportive. I have returned to this dealer for follow up and the service department has been wonderful as well. They are polite, kind, supportive and not pushy about you having to buy a vehicle from them. They are a dealership that provides support to all customers regardless of type, model or make of vehicle that you are interested in. They return your calls, texts and emails. I highly recommend this dealership. I will certainly return to this dealership in the future to purchase another vehicle. Next time I might even buy a Chevy!!!
