It took 16 days to find out that a friend was being held against her will at her house. Her daughter called 911 to tell them whats going on they thought she was prank calling!!!!
Lexington County Sheriff's Department treats criminals like they are important and treat law abiding citizens like they're the criminals. I respect our men in blue but I don't respect men in blue that don't serve and protect. I've called numerous times trying to report meth related activities on Old Charleston Rd without a single call back. They're stealing automobiles, squatting in a doublewide where they're selling meth and cooking meth, random people walking around with handguns. Literally destroying my property. I've followed the process with numerous evictions and posted no trespassing signs that ironically get ripped down. Call the police and they see all the brand new cars, people scattering out of the place like roaches and THEY DO NOTHING! They don't pursue, they don't check IDs, they don't run VIN numbers.
Sheriff Moon is making us less safe by spending Lexington County taxes supporting ICE that should be used enforcing the laws he was elected to enforce. The association with ICE makes victims of crime reluctant to report crime.
There's always an excuse of why they can't do their jobs. Very disappointing. No surprise Lexington had a criminal as a sheriff for so long. One would think the new sheriff would want to clean up the years of corruption and crime our county has endured. DO YOUR JOB! Kitchens badge number 913, don't bother him when it's 9pm because he'll only ignore what's going on, remind you of what time it is and he'll only try his best to get out of doing any kind of "serving and protecting". He leaves a scared 18 year old kid standing alone at the end of a driveway not having a care in the world if he's safe, meanwhile this 18 year old is watching and hearing squatting meth heads running out of a doublewide that's suppose to be vacant. Kitchens does nothing, never even comes back to check on him or ask him why he called. DISGUSTING excuse for police work.
It was HORRIBLE .....Food wasn't fit enough to feed a dog and was wrongly arrested for something someone Lied about and I was NEVER questioned for MY side of the story I guess ppl can just say whatever and u get arrested based on hear say NOT facts!!!! Guess that's how Lexington County does things
Wanted to say thank you to a certain SRO- Officer James Moore- I happened to be earwitness to the fact this man saved the life of a child today. God is so good to have placed this man at this place at this time and with the ability to do what he (Officer Moore) did. :-)
