After driving down from New Jersey to see the "once in a life time" solar eclipse we decided the best place to view the eclipse was from the Lexington Public Library. Extremely happy that we did this, the librarians were more than accommodating. They answered all and any questions that I had, assisted me with any problems and 30 minutes before the eclipse were handing out bottles of water to everyone in the parking lot. The staff at the Lexington County Public Library is just pure class. Thank you for representing the best of what our countries public library system has to offer!
The staff members here are always friendly, and helpful. There is also a good variety of books here for kids. The only thing I would change is the movie selection. At the Columbia library they have many movies including blue-ray one's.At this library, you're lucky if you can find a movie that came out in anytime past 2010,and most of them are old 70's-90's movies.
Some of the staff is very helpful but the rest very rude! Came in and was about to check out the librarian that came up to me told me that they were closed. I said I know I'm about to go check out. She said okay I said we are closed. She needs to learn mangers.
Love, love, love this place. Best place to gather books for my children to read through out the week. I never, and I don't use that word lightly, never have a problem finding books there, and the staff is so wonderful. I recommend my library to everyone!
"The staff are friendly and they have a good selection of books for all ages"
